Open this page on the phone you will be using during the treasure hunt.

This page will test the browser on your phone to make sure all the features we need for the treasure hunt are working properly.

Note: We only officially support Chrome (Android) and Safari (iPhone) browsers. Make sure you have one of those on your phone and are using it.

Android Phone

  1. Make sure Location Services is turn on for your phone
    • From your Phone's Settings 
    • Select "Location" or "Privacy & Location"
    • Make sure "Use location" is turned on
  2. Make sure you are using the Chrome browser
  3. Make sure location and camera access is enabled in Chrome
    • Select the "3 dots" menu in the upper right of the Chrome browser
    • Select "Settings" menu item
    • Select "Site Settings" menu item
    • Select "Location"
      • Make sure "Ask before allowing" option is turned on
      • If "mtbadpirate.com" is in the Blocked section, select it, and use "Clear & reset"
    • Select Camera
      • Make sure "Ask before allowing" option is turned on
      • If "mtbadpirate.com" is in the Blocked section, select it, and use "Clear & reset"
  4. Make sure when you are prompted for permission to your location and camera during the hunt you select "Allow"

iPhone

  1. Make sure Location Services is turned on for your phone and Safari
    • From your Phone's Settings
    • Select "Privacy"
    • Select "Location Services"
    • Make sure "Location Services" is turned on
    • Next select "Safari Websites" in the "Share My Location" section
    • Make sure it is set to "While Using the App"
  2. Reset Location Services if you accidentally said "Do not allow" at some point
    • From your Phone's Settings
    • Select "General"
    • Select "Reset"
    • Select "Reset Location & Privacy"
  3. Make sure you are using the Safari browser
  4. Make sure camera access is turned on for Safari
    • From your Phone's Settings
    • Select "Safari"
    • Select "Camera"
    • Make sure "Ask" or "Allow" is selected
  5. Make sure when you are prompted for permission to your location and camera during the hunt you select "Allow"
